I tried to set up fans plus open windows in my studio to improve the ventilation, but separate from the cooling system, it was uninhabitable
My dream client, a professional model who was back in our hometown for a summer getaway, had booked a session at my photography studio. I was incredibly glad to shoot with her! Most of my customers are brides plus middle school graduates, but after shooting with her, my portfolio was going to include a task with an actual professional model! I arrived at my studio a few hours before the model to quickly get ready for the shoot. As soon as I opened the door to the building, I was blasted with hot, sticky air. Of course, on the day of the greatest shoot of my life, my air conditioner method wasn’t working. I called a heating plus A/C supplier as soon as I could, but they estimated that I would have to wait a few hours to see a supplier. I tried to set up fans plus open windows in my studio to improve the ventilation, but separate from the cooling system, it was uninhabitable. I had to come up with a method B. I decided to do an outdoor shoot instead; I met the model at the foot of the stairs to my studio, plus said, “Change of plans! My a/c decided to throw a tantrum, so we’re going to shoot at the park across the street.” The model seemed entirely excited as well! “I used to play in that park when I was a kid! That’s perfect!” Just as every one of us were setting up to shoot, I got a call from the heating plus A/C supplier; I had left the door unlocked for the supplier, plus they were headed up the stairs to repair my air conditioner at that point. By the time the shoot was over, my cooling method had been fixed, plus my studio was an icebox once again!
